Next week will mark the 200th episode of the hit CBS series "The Big Bang Theory" and the whole gang will celebrate it with Sheldon's (Jim Parsons) birthday.

In "The Celebration Experimentation," CarterMatt reports that the birthday boy will flip out when he sees his idol, celebrity icon Adam West, joining the festivities. West is the first actor to star in a live-action "Batman" television show back in 1966 and all the boys' ultimate hero. He will be playing himself, wowing Sheldon, Leonard (Johnny Galecki), Howard (Simon Helberg), and Raj (Kunal Nayyar) with his impersonation of Bruce Wayne.

The promo picture shows the entire gang looking starstruck seeing West in the apartment's living room. Sheldon is seen gesturing at the veteran actor, while his girlfriend Amy is standing close to him, clapping. Little else is known about the upcoming episode, as CBS has been keeping the synopsis under wraps. Many fans are hoping that the merry atmosphere will get to Sheldon, making him bring out the ring he bought for Amy (Mayim Bialik).

The last time viewers got a glimpse of the bling, Sheldon was trying to keep it hidden in his hands when Amy broke up with him during the midseason finale. When Sheldon's grandmother visited him last time, she accidentally revealed to Amy about its existence. Amy was ecstatic, but at the same time, devastated that she broke up Sheldon's heart the moment he wanted to propose. Will the ring make a reappearance at Sheldon's party?

Co-creator Chuck Lorre told The Hollywood Reporter back in December that the ring has never left Sheldon's pocket. As to when he would present it to Amy, Lorre played it coy with his answer, preferring his mysterious laugh to speak volumes about their plans for the couple.

"That ring is in play. It's still in his pocket. We'll see what happens with it," he playfully teased.

"The Big Bang Theory" season 9 airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
