NBC's crime TV series "The Blacklist" didn't fail to impress for two seasons and it even maintained its positive ratings this year, as reported in When Will.

The show will be returning to the network this fall with brand new episodes for season 3. Initially it was announced that the third season will premiere on Sept. 24.

However, this release date has been pushed back by a week, to Oct. 1, as reported in Variety.

The delay in release is due to the "Heroes" remake, "Heroes Reborn," which will air on the same date and will extend for two hours during its premiere.

According to NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt, fans would love to have an extended premiere of the "Heroes" reboot.

Meanwhile, "The Blacklist" season 2 finale showed a rather emotional episode, which would surely prepare something very interesting for the upcoming season.

According to the show's star Megan Boone, who played Elizabeth 'Liz' Keen, fans should expect something "very different" when the show returns.

Boone went on to tell Zap2iT that the show still maintains the same characters but will bring a "very different dynamic," since her character is no longer tied to the law enforcement.

It was already known that Liz and partner Raymond Reddington, or Red, played by James Spader will be fugitives of the FBI.

Liz has been listed as FBI's most wanted, with her colleagues more determined to have her captured. Given this dilemma, Liz will only have Red to help save herself and guarantee her survival.

Boon may not have given away specific details about season 3's plot, because that would be spoiling the fans, but she did mention that with the collapse of the task force, a lot of changes will be seen in the series.

Fans are now eager to know what will become of the fugitives and how the force will handle a situation when it concerns one of its members.
