"The Blacklist" season 4 has everyone excited as it will reveal what becomes of Liz (Megan Boone) now that she is being held by Red's (James Spader) nemesis Alexander Kirk (Ulrich Thomsen).

The premiere of the season will not disappoint, with the season opener set to pick up from where the thrilling final moments of the previous season left off.

On Twitter, show creator Jon Bokenkamp promised that "The Blacklist" season 4 will be "crazy," which is not a surprise considering how things ended in the last season.

After a whirlwind of action and drama, Red learns that Liz is alive and is now in the hands of his mortal enemy. In an interview with Deadline, Bokenkamp teased that Red will be "on fire" as he attempts to bring Liz to safety. It remains to be seen if Red will be back with the FBI after this ordeal in "The Blacklist" season 4. After all, everything he does involves Liz and whatever happens after this Kirk problem will dictate what he will do next.

"Well, Reddington certainly wouldn't work for the FBI without Elizabeth, he said so much in tonight's episode. He's only there because of a secret agenda that Liz is central to," Bokenkamp explained. "But our show has, and I hope always will have, a strong procedural element," he added, hinting that Liz and Red might be working together once again despite the former's efforts to stay away from the latter.

According to cast member Harry Lennix, who plays the role of Harold Cooper in the series, filming for "The Blacklist" season 4 will begin "soon."

It was not made clear how soon, but it looks like the cast and crew will be back on set sooner rather than later.

"The Blacklist" season 4 premieres Thursday, Sept. 22 on NBC.
