"The Blacklist" is premiering its season 4 episode 1 titled "Esteban" this week, and fans will finally figure out what happened to Elizabeth "Liz" Keen (Megan Boone) after she was kidnapped.

In the third season finale of "The Blacklist," Liz was seen faking her death and being abducted by her recently proclaimed real father, Alexander Kirk (Ulrich Thomsen).

Season 3 left fans with such an unexpected twist especially since Constantine and Katarina Rostova (Lotte Verbeek), Liz's parents, were kept a mystery in the first three installments of the NBC TV franchise.

Fortunately for season 4 of "The Blacklist," fans will be able to further unveil Liz's mysterious history. Boone even shared in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that season 4 could potentially answer every question regarding her character's parents' history as well as her character's real connection with Raymond "Red" Reddington (James Spader). "A lot is revealed to her about her mother, who she's known nothing about her whole life, and through her mother, she learns actually a lot more about Reddington," Boone said.

On another note, fans can expect Red to continue looking for Liz in "The Blacklist" season 4's first episode, where Red will be starting an operation to find Liz. This episode will be followed by episode 2 titled "Mato," where Red will be working with Tom Keen (Ryan Eggold) along with the task force to locate where Kirk hid Liz.

While others are spending time looking for her, Liz will spend her time contemplating about Kirk's motives after revealing that he is her real father. "It's very complicated and it's something that actually gets revealed — it's a big reveal in episode 3 of season 4," Boone told Entertainment Weekly. "Like a lot of the people that crop up in our show, his agenda is not necessarily altruistic. He doesn't have the best of intentions," she added.

"The Blacklist" season 4 will premiere on Thursday, Sept. 22, at 10 p.m. EDT on NBC.
