In the next episode of "The Blacklist," Agent Elizabeth Keen (Megan Boone) goes down a dark path and studies the torture methods of one of the most dangerous criminals.

The trailer and promotional photos for the upcoming installment, which is titled "Abraham Stern," was just released recently, and they show Elizabeth meeting up with her father Raymond Reddington (James Spader).

"I'm coming for Tom's [Ryan Eggold] killers," she tells him coldly. The master criminal looks at her daughter with concern.

Apparently, she plans on following the torture methods of a notorious blacklister who uses hydrochloric acid to get the truth from his victims. She goes through confidential documents of the serial killer and takes down some notes. Later, the mysterious torturer is shown wearing a gas mask to protect himself from the harmful fumes as he torments a victim of his.

Elizabeth tries to replicate his technique as she wears a gas mask of her own and tries to create the dangerous, acidic concoction. She is bent on revenge and will do what it takes to find the culprits and get the truth out of them.

Meanwhile, Reddington goes on a hunt for a legendary treasure. However, he gets the attention of a cunning manipulator by the name of Abraham Stern (Nathan Lane), who wants the priceless fortune for himself. Stern believes that it is his birthright to claim the mysterious treasure as his own.

In the last episode, Elizabeth tracked down one of the killers and tried to get information from him. She discovered that Tom was not out to help Nik Korpal (Piter Marek) but that it was the other way around apparently. Nik was trying to help Tom with something that Elizabeth has to figure out now.

"The Blacklist" season 5 episode 11 will hit the airwaves on Wednesday, Jan. 17, at 8 p.m. EST on NBC.
