In the next episode of "The Blacklist," Raymond Reddington (James Spader) enlists the help of Tom Keen (Ryan Eggold) to take down killer cops-for-hire.

According to the synopsis of the upcoming installment, in addition to the FBI, Reddington recruits his daughter Elizabeth Keen's (Megan Boone) husband to take on blacklisters who happen to be crooked cops. The take-down of these blacklisters is an attempt by Reddington to return to his old status of being one of the most powerful men in the criminal underworld. If he shuts them down with the help of Tom and the FBI, he will be gain more influence in the shady world of organized crime.

The trailer for the next episode showed Reddington and Elizabeth discuss the killer cops-for-hire who are a potential threat to those around them. A cop is shown shooting an unarmed man while another female officer points her gun at a driver who has his hands raised. In the last scene, Reddington and Tom are caught and surrounded by an armed squad of seemingly corrupt officers.

In the last episode, Tom went on a mission to find out the identity of the person's bones in the suitcase that was delivered to him. He was able to get the help of Dr. Nik Korpal (Piter Marek) to analyze the bones. It was hinted previously that the bones belonged to Elizabeth's mother and that Reddington seemingly killed her for reasons that have yet to be revealed.

Tom knows that the bones have something to do with Reddington but still does not know that it may belong to Elizabeth's mom and that her criminal dad may have killed her. Needless to say, Tom is going to have to watch his back because Reddington is looking for the bones himself.

"The Blacklist" season 5 episode 3 will air on Wednesday, Oct. 11 at 8 p.m. EDT on NBC.
