'The Crew 2' release date news: Open-world racing game to arrive to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on June 29

Ubisoft, the publisher of the game "The Crew 2" developed by France-based game studio Ivory Tower, announced that the upcoming open-world racing game is slated to release for the PlayStation 4 (PS4), Xbox One and personal computer (PC) on June 29. 

GameSpot reported the latest release date news for "The Crew" sequel which was originally scheduled to launch on Mar. 16. Moreover, the website also reported that players may now avail of a special edition of the upcoming game known as the Motor Edition. The special edition of the game is exclusively available on Ubisoft's online store and will grant players three days early access to the game on June 26.

Furthermore, the Motor Edition will include a couple of bonus items alongside a copy of the game, such as its season pass, a Motorsports Deluxe Pack that contains several outfits and vehicles, an 11.81" × 5.9" crew-themed license plate, steelbook case, a 25" × 20" roadmap and four stickers. In addition, preordering any edition of the game will give players the bonus Legendary Motors Pack, which includes a number of exclusive vehicles like the Mercedes-AMG C 63 Touring Car 2016, Ford F-150 Raptor Race Truck 2017 and the Harley-Davidson Iron 883 2017.

Players who want to try the game before its release may sign up for the game's Beta Access registration. Meanwhile, players who have the original game may start building their car collection for the upcoming sequel by participating in The Crew Rewards Program. "The Crew" players will be able to unlock exclusive vehicles such as Ferrari 458 through the Rewards Program by simply completing monthly challenges issued in the original game. 

"The Crew 2' introduces players to Motornation — a huge playground built specifically for motorsports in the U.S.A. Like the original title, the upcoming game challenges players to become a multi-skilled motorsports champion by exploring and competing for ground, sea and sky motorsports contests.
