Things are getting more exciting in "The Curse of Oak Island" season 5 as the Lagina brothers reveal new discoveries. With that, fans can't help but wonder about what the rest of the show's episodes can offer.

Executive producer Joe Lessard recently had an interview with Monsters and Critics where he dished out some information about the show. According to him, there will be a total of 16 episodes for season 5 and the entire season will run for 17 hours.

One of the most intriguing discoveries of the team are the bones that they found from the Money Pit area. Lessard said that they did not expect to see human remains in there, but this could help them unlock a mystery. The team already knows that there was a vault that was reported at around 1897. However, they were not prepared to see human bones while digging.

Things are a lot easier for the team with archaeologist Laird Niven around. Lessard said that Niven helps them especially when they need an expert opinion about something. When the team found the bone, Rick thought that it is just a tropical wood. But Niven told them that it is actually a bone.

Lessard also said that prior to the start of any season, they brainstorm with the team so they will know what to do. This way, they could cover it the best way they can. He also said that every time the Lagina brothers and the rest of the team are active, the cameras are always rolling whatever time of the day.

When asked about how Rick and Marty are like in person, Lessard said that "what you see is what you get." He added that they are very down-to-earth, curious, accessible, and charismatic. He also said that the two have a very strong family element since they have been working together for years.

The show still has a lot of things to unveil to its viewers. Many are looking forward to the next episodes, wondering what new things will the team find in the Money Pit. Will they finally discover the treasure on the island?
