'The Elder Scrolls Online' DLC: New Dark Brotherhood DLC invites players to be assassins for hire; details here

Bethesda announces Dark Brotherhood for "Elder Scrolls Online"Bethesda

Bethesda has officially announced Dark Brotherhood, the latest DLC for "The Elder Scrolls Online." In this game pack, players are to join the league of Tamriel's master assassins, whose order of business includes no more than "murder and mayhem."

Blood will flow. A guild of assassins rises to power in Tamriel, and your murderous talents make you a prime recruit. For the first time in The Elder Scrolls Online, join the Dark Brotherhood and carve your own destiny in their bloody future.

The Dark Brotherhood DLC is priced at 2000 crowns, which is around $20. Players with Elder Scrolls Online Plus membership will get the DLC without charge when it launches on May 31 on the PC and June 14 for Xbox One and PS4.

The new "The Elder Scrolls Online" DLC comes with a new Dark Brotherhood passive skill line and brings players to a region in Cyrodiil called the Gold Coast (a map "Elder Scrolls" fans know very well), which will open Anvil and Kvatch for exploration to players.

The DLC boasts "hours of new story content and more." Dark Brotherhood comes with various kinds of quests. For starters, there are the Bounty Quests, where players can snag daily bounties by "[conquering] delves, [battling] in the Kvatch Arena or [vanquishing] a monstrous minotaur."

"The Elder Scrolls Online" DLC also includes Contract Kill Quests, where players will be paid gold by a "dry-humored Dark Elf assassin" named Elam Drals, who gives the kill orders. Lastly, there are the Sacrament Quests, given to players by Black Hand agent Speaker Terenus.

For this, players are going to be "breaking into secured subterranean locations to slaughter targets invoked by the performance of the Black Sacrament. Avoid guards, disable traps, and complete bonus objectives to achieve the highest levels of prestige and reward."

"The Elder Scrolls Online" DLC also introduces new delves with a bunch of challenges and rewards, two world bosses, as well as new gear, "unique" crafting styles and various rewards. Complete details about Dark Brotherhood can be read here.

Bethesda will be making the wait for the Dark Brotherhood DLC more fun by organizing various types of events such as Twitch and PTS broadcasts and Q&As and by releasing guides, articles and concept arts from the upcoming "The Elder Scrolls Online" DLC.
