Bethesda really wants to give everyone a chance to play "The Elder Scrolls Online."

According to reports, the massively multiplayer online role-playing game is going free for one week on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The full base game can be accessed by the public without charge starting April 11 up until April 18.

The generous offer from the studio includes access to the game without restrictions, a discount on the full version, and 500 Crowns of premium currency that can be spent at the in-game store. Progress made in the trial will be carried over to the full version should the player decide to purchase it.

"The Elder Scrolls Online" will soon expand with the release of the Morrowind downloadable content in June. The studio gave fans a first look at the expansion pack's island of Vvardenfell in February, which can be viewed here. It was also reported last month that the game has sold over 8.5 million copies, beating its record of 7 million units sold in June 2016.

Launched in April 2014, the game recently celebrated its third anniversary with a special event from April 4 to April 18. During the event, players can open the Ache for Cake mission by visiting Davon's Watch, Vulkhel Guard, or Daggerfall. The quest can be accessed using the Jubilee Cake Voucher in the Crown store as well. Upon completing the mission, users are rewarded with a slice of cake that gives a two-hour 100 percent XP buff that can be stacked with any other XP bonus.

In addition to the stat bonus, those who finish daily and weekly quests during the anniversary event period will receive anniversary gift boxes. These presents will contain different items including cosmetic add-ons, crafting materials, and more. The store has also been updated with traditional Breton style outfits that are now up for grabs.

Developed by ZeniMax Online Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks, "The Elder Scrolls Online" is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
