Tom Howard, game director and producer at Bethesda, has confirmed that "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" will be available on the upcoming Nintendo Switch. The hybrid gaming console is scheduled for a March 2017 launch.

According to an interview by Glixel, Howard revealed that the game could arrive on the new console and said, "It's the same game on the TV and on the other screen." He was also asked if there will be more mobile games coming from the studio, and he mentioned that they will definitely release more in the future.

The director also shared his excitement for the Nintendo Switch. He was able experienced it first hand and fell in love with it. He said: " I love it. I got to play it. I will tell you – well, maybe that's an N.D.A. thing. One of the best demos I've ever seen. Probably the best demo I've ever seen. At E3."

Bethesda will also be supporting the new device, and the director added: "I mean the device itself. I think it's really smart what they're doing. We're definitely going to be supporting it. It's the first time we've done something on Nintendo. If you don't count the old NES stuff, 'Home Alone' or 'Where's Waldo?'"

Howard also said that "The Elder Scrolls 6" is not the game that the development team is working on at the moment, and there is no definite time frame that he can also give about its release date. However, the studio will make it one day, but not today.

Meanwhile, Bethesda is also trying out the road to virtual reality (VR). The team has already started with "Fallout 4", and they are excited to where this will lead them. The game fits natural with the technology, and they are hoping that a unique experience can be produced from this opportunity.

"The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition," a remastered version of the original game, is now available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
