With the annual Electronic Entertainment Expo just days away, fans are looking forward to major announcements and details on upcoming games. Speculations suggest that Bethesda will tease fans with some major reveals, including the next installment from "The Elder Scrolls" franchise.

According to The Bitbag, Bethesda may once again surprise fans with a major reveal at the E3 2016, much like what they did last year. The showcase by the studio then was an unforgettable one for hardcore fans, as Bethesda announced "Fallout 4" out of the blue. Rumblings of a new "Fallout" series installment were already heard of prior to the E3, though Bethesda had been silent about the rumors, so fans weren't expecting anything.

It seems that Bethesda is using the same approach this time around and hopes to surprise fans with an announcement on the new "The Elder Scrolls" game. Rumors on a "Skyrim 2" and "The Elder Scrolls VI" have been circulating online for some time now, but Bethesda is keeping mum on the speculations. However, the industry follower believes that with the time difference between "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" and a new direct sequel, it is high time for Bethesda to at least give some confirmed hints on "The Elder Scrolls VI."

In addition, aside from "Dishonored 2," Bethesda has no other major franchise announcements to make, unless the studio reveals a new IP in the works.

Meanwhile, since Bethesda is silent on the next "The Elder Scrolls," observers are having a grand time speculating what the next release will be about. While some are saying that it may be a direct sequel to the last title – hence a "Skyrim 2" game – others are saying that "The Elder Scrolls VI" will deal with another location in Tamriel and will feature an entirely new story and set of characters.
