Bethesda is delaying the release of the sixth installment of the "Elder Scrolls" series, and they have been vague when it comes to details about the sequel.

However, Todd Howard — the creator of the current "Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" game — recently admitted that the next game is in development, but he adds that it is not a big, active project for the time being.

According to the Christian Times, Howard shared that the company still has some other ongoing projects that demand their attention, but he knows that the "Elder Scrolls" franchise is important to their fans. With this, Bethesda has been nothing short of careful when it comes to setting the expectations of their fans.

Howard did assure everyone that the game will definitely be made in the future. Aside from his assurance, he also discussed the recent reveal of the upcoming new console platform Nintendo Switch. Howard was able to take the console for a spin during the E3 event this year along with many other developers.

Howard said that he, along with other developers, will be supporting the new console, and that it is the first time that he has ever done something on a Nintendo console, if the old NES console was counted out.

Also, that would mean that the company plans to launch a new game for the Nintendo Switch in the near future. Howard hopes that the reveal will be made soon and that everyone will be able to have a good idea on what to expect in a month or so.

In other news, the Parent Herald reports that Bethesda's support for the Nintendo Switch is not surprising, as fans can remember that the "Skyrim" game appeared in the recently released reveal trailer for the console. As such, fans are curious as to whether or not "Skyrim" or even "The Elder Scrolls VI" will be released for the Nintendo Switch.
