A supposedly fun night suddenly took a bad turn in the next episode of "The Flash" season 2.

In the episode titled "Trajectory," Barry (Grant Gustin) and his friends Iris (Candice Patton), Cisco (Carlos Valdes), Jessie (Allison Bean), and Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) will decide to spend the night out partying to unwind.

But instead of having a night of enjoyment, the group will be forced to resume their superhero duties when a scheming speedster named Trajectory (Allison Paige) decides to ruin their fun and steal items from various partygoers.

In a promo video released by The CW, executive producer Todd Helbing revealed that Trajectory is the first female metahuman with supernatural speed who will be introduced in the series, and she is reportedly "a lot faster than Barry."

But The Flash will not let Trajectory or any other speedster cause trouble in Central City. "I wanna be fast enough to stop Zoom [Teddy Sears] and any speedsters that try to hurt my friends," Barry says in the video.

Meanwhile, Iris and her new editor, Scott (guest star Tone Bell), will have a little altercation after Scott accuses The Flash of turning to the dark side and being a fraud. Iris will try to defend her friend without blowing Barry's cover. But according to the synopsis, animosity between the two could possibly turn into flirtation. Will Scott be the new love interest for Iris?

Speculations about the possible appearance of comedians Jason "Jay" Mewes and Silent Bob from Kevin Smith's "Askewniverse" in a future episode of "The Flash" season 2 have come out online.

The rumors began when Smith, who is confirmed to direct one of the episodes in season 2, posted a photo of the comedians in front of the fictional CC Jitters coffee shop with the caption: "Today is Day 3 of 8 on my episode of @CW_TheFlash! Went for coffee at #CCJitters & found losers loitering outside..."

The comedians and the network have yet to confirm if they will indeed make an appearance on the show.

"The Flash" season 2 episode 16 airs Tuesday, March 22.
