Team Flash is about to take a journey to Earth 2 in the second part of "The Flash" season 2.

For the second half of season 2, The CW released a new promo video for episode 10 titled "Potential Energy" to reveal what fans should look forward to when the series returns in January.

In the trailer, Earth 2's The Flash Jay Garrick (Teddy Sears) can be heard orienting the rest of the team about what to expect in their new destination, saying: "Up is down, black is white. Do not get distracted by anything you see along the way."

Fans of the action-adventure superhero drama will also see the Earth 2 version of Dr. Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker) in the trailer. But instead of seeing the kind, gentle bioengineer which they all loved in the original Earth, the Earth 2's version of Caitlyn will be known as Killer Frost. She will be one of the villains that The Flash/Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) will have to face this season.

A grim-looking version of Barry is also seen in the trailer.

The Earth 2 version of The Flash's alter ego sports a thick pair of glasses and crisp suit. However, Iris West (Candice Patton) version of the alternative Earth looks more confident and sexy in the video.

Barry and Iris are seen talking to each other in the promo trailer. Based on their interaction, the Earth 2 versions of the characters seem to have an intimate relationship with each other.

The second half of "The Flash" season 2 will also feature the return of "The Carrie Diaries" actor Matt Letscher as Eobard Thawne, also known as the Reverse Flash.

In a brief statement to Entertainment Weekly, series executive producer Todd Helbing talked about the character's return to the series.

"His impossible return to Central City puts a member of the S.T.A.R. Labs team in unexpected danger, forcing Barry to make a life-changing decision," Helbing said.

"The Flash" season 2 returns on The CW on Tuesday, Jan. 19.
