The second season premiere of "The Flash" is just hours away, and fans cannot wait to see what happens to Barry (Grant Gustin) and the rest of the team after the shocking events of the season 1 finale.

In the premiere episode titled "Tomorrow," season 2 picks up months after Singularity attacked Central City. Barry is still blaming himself after Eddie's death. Intent on keeping his friends safe, he distances himself from them and tries to protect the city on his own. But when a meta-human named Atom Smasher attacks the city, Iris tells Barry that he needs to let his friends help him defeat the bad guy and protect the citizens of Central City.

Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said that the show will be "playing with time a bit" in the new season and that the series will not be picking up where people will think.

"You'll definitely get all the answers to the questions you have from the end of the year," said Kreisberg of the season 2 premiere. He added that fans will know what happened to Central City and how the Flash will stop the Singularity from destroying it.

The episode will also be about Barry trying to live with the choices he made in the first season finale.

"A lot of this episode is about coming to terms with having made a mistake, trusting Wells and traveling in time," Kreisberg said. It can be recalled that Barry traveled back in time to save his mom, and though he wasn't able to do so, there were consequences, and he will be struggling with them in the premiere.

Kreisberg said that though Barry made mistakes, he has to live with them, learn from them, and do better next time.

"It's about processing the bad things that have happened and taking responsibility for your part in them, and then moving forward and making sure you do better," he said.

"The Flash" season 2 premieres on Tuesday, Oct. 6 at 8pm on The CW.
