'The Flash' season 2 premiere spoilers: Barry Returns, Atom-Smasher Wrecks havoc in 'The Man Who Saved Central City'

Trailers and photos drop here and there as "The Flash" season 2 inches closer and closer to its much-awaited premiere. The CW has also been releasing countdown trailers to tease fans that the fastest man alive will tear through the small screen again very soon.

The latest trailer shows scenes on and off camera. There are clips showing Cisco, who seems to be hanging around with Lisa Snart quite a lot this season. There's also Teddy Sears aka Jay Garrick running in front of a green screen in slow motion.

The new "The Flash" season 2 video also sees Patty Spivot and Barry scream and laugh in unison. The scarlet speedster's streak of light and all-out action involving guns and special weapons for taking down metahumans are also featured in the video.

The second run of the series adaptation starts tomorrow with an episode titled "The Man Who Saved Central City," where fans will see Barry become a lone wolf after Eddie's death and heroism. The city seems to know the former. But the latter, it knows nothing about.

Central City will host an event for The Flash to thank the hero for preventing the town from being swallowed up by the singularity that formed above it in the season 1 finale. "The Flash" season 2 premiere will show what happened after Barry tore through the portal.

Going forward, Barry will refuse to get help from his friends to keep them out of danger. He continues to protect the city, but this time, he won't involve his friends and family for their own safety. However, this changes when Atom-Smasher wreaks havoc and after Iris convinces that they are all in the fight together.

"The Flash" season 2 premieres tomorrow, Oct. 6, at 8 p.m. ET on The CW. Fans can live stream the episode via the CW app.
