"The Flash" will kickstart its final four episodes for season 1 next week and a newly-released action-packed trailer gives fans an idea (and presumably adrenaline rush) of what they are in for as the incalculably successful freshman run of the DC Comics adaptation inches closer to the end.

The clip features the much-awaited face-off between the speedsters as well as unlikely but awesome and exciting team-ups. The Flash is seen working with Captain Cold, who will prove that he will, not the least bit, be the hero's ally. This cues Barry's collaboration with Firestorm and the Arrow.

The trailer also featured Oliver Queen in action, Hannibal Bates' potential troublemaking and Grodd entering the scene. Wells declares that "the real endgame is almost here" while Barry asserts his plan to change the past and save his mom and get his dad out of prison.

Executive producer Andrew Kreisberg teased to Hypable that Barry will soon gather enough information about the fake Wells that "he can force a confession out of" him. And Cisco remembering memories in the alternate timeline will prove very vital to make that happen.

"Those people who thought that the events of episode 15, when the timeline was altered, was a full and total reset, and that those events didn't matter, are going to be proven very wrong," Kreisberg tells the aforementioned site. "It turns out that the key in getting Wells to confess lies is Cisco's ability to remember that alternate timeline," he then went on to say.

"The Flash" showrunner also assured fans that the next episodes will finally tell the truth on why the Reverse Flash did not kill Eddie in episode 9. Speaking of the truth, Iris will finally learn of Barry's secret identity, thus making her hate the two men in her life he knew since forever but not Eddie.

"The reason she's not pissed at Eddie will become apparent, which is kind of interesting," Kreisberg shared. "But she's definitely pissed at Barry and Joe. Keeping people in the dark for their own protection is a trope for these shows," the executive producer said, but assuring that her anger will not go on forever.

Iris is also set to get a confrontation with the Reverse Flash, which excites Kreisberg. However, he revealed that he "won't necessarily be as fixated on Iris as he is in the comics."

The next episode of "The Flash" is titled "Grodd Lives," which will see Wells release the gorilla into the city and eventually kidnap Joe. This installment will air on May 5.
