Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and Jay Garrick (guest star Teddy Sears) will clash in the upcoming episode of The CW series "The Flash."

In "Enter Zoom," Comicbook reports that the tiff will be due to Barry's decision to go after Zoom (Tony Todd) and not wait for the villain to attack. He has been hatching a plan to take down Zoom and he wants his S.T.A.R Labs team to back him up. Jay thinks that is foolhardy, as he knows how dangerous the speed demon is. He tells Barry to wait a little longer, and gets support from Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker). Barry will get unexpected backing from Iris (Candice Patton), however, and another person who can be a useful ally. Who can it be?

Last episode, Dr. Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh) of Earth 2 was pleased when Barry made up his mind to confront Zoom. The scientist traveled to the other world to warn The Flash that Zoom was after him. So far, the villain has only sent meta humans to kill him and has kept its distance. Barry battled Dr. Light (Malese Jow), who was revealed to be Linda Park's doppelganger. While she was able to temporarily blind him, Barry got her in the end.

Before she was defeated, however, the meta human managed to track Barry's ex-girlfriend and attempted to kill her. That was when the speedster realized how dangerous Zoom and his minions were. Barry wanted to get to him before he could send another assassin for him and his friends. Jay disagreed, saying he could not do it on his own. Wells called Jay a coward, which prompted the latter to say he was leaving as he did not want to see Barry killed.

Meanwhile, the team will get to see what the Earth 2 Wells is like before he traveled between the two worlds. While it's difficult for them to trust this doppelganger who drove a knife through the heart of Barry's mother, learning how his life is in the other dimension may lead them to understand him better.

Last episode, viewers saw that Zoom has been keeping a prisoner. The girl was Jesse Quick (Violett Beane), and Wells was her father. Will the S.T.A.R Labs team make it its mission to save her as well?

"The Flash" airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
