'The Flash' season 2 rumors: When will Trickster return?

Way back in March, episode 17 of "The Flash" season 1 saw Mark Hamill reprising his role as one of the speedsters' better known nemesis named the Trickster.

For those who missed that one, it may be recalled that a copycat who claimed he was the Trickster caused havoc in Central City by setting off bombs.

To try and figure out any connection, Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and detective Joe West (Jesse Martin) met up with the original Trickster who went by the name of James Jesse. Things didn't really pan out as Jesse eventually aligned with the copycat. Worse, the villains took Barry's father hostage.

The episode (17), of course, ended on a bright note and the Trickster and his cohort were put behind bars.

It was great to see Mark Hamill reprise his role but the latest word out is that he may be returning again in season 2.

This came about after photos of him and seemingly a crew member of "The Flash" spread over social media. The post was, however, eventually deleted but by that time, the photo had already gone viral.

And as it turned out, Comicbook.com com tried to reach CW/WB to see what gives. And as it turns out, Hamill will indeed be returning in season 2, although there is no word yet on which episode he will be appearing.

Chances are his return will likely originate from prison. Surely, he will be after vengeance (as always) against the Flash, so the planned story on this part should be pretty interesting.

Odd as it is to see Mark Hamill reprising his role after originally portraying such in 1990, the fact is that Hamill did put up a good show. And for those who were pretty impressed, well the Trickster will be back.

Now, the only question is when?
