A new foe is set to make Barry's (Grant Gustin) life a lot more difficult in the upcoming episodes of the hit superhero series "The Flash."

Comicbook reports that when The CW series returns for the second half of its sophomore season, the speedster will face a dangerous meta-human with a grudge. The network has tapped actor Adam Stafford to play Adam Fells aka Geomancer, a villain who has the ability to create powerful earthquakes. According to the character's description, Geomancer uses Geokinesis or the gift of manipulating the earth to overcome his adversaries. In one of the promo pictures released by The CW, he can be seen showing off his awesome power by touching the ground.

Geomancer is targeting the Flash to settle scores. He wants to know who between them is the most powerful meta-human in Central City. The villain will reportedly draw out the superhero by unleashing a string of earthquakes. The face-off will be seen in the episodes 13 and 14. In the comics, Fells started as an assassin for hire who once decimated an African Village. Wikia report that later on, he joined the Injustice Society. He was created by Geoff Johns, DC Chief Creative Officer, and David S. Goyer.

Aside from Geomancer, Barry will also have to deal with Wells' (Tom Cavanagh) defection. During the winter finale, Zoom (Tony Todd) appeared to have brainwashed the scientist to do his bidding in exchange of something important. The villain wanted Wells to finish the speed serum and administer it on Barry. His sinister plan involves taking down the Flash and absorbing all his power, which has been boosted by the serum. Zoom has promised Wells that he would get back his daughter Jesse's (Violett Beane) once he followed the demand.

"The Flash" will return on Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2016, at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
