The cast for "The Flash" season 3 continues to grow as a report from TV Line confirms that "Harry Potter" veteran Tom Felton will be joining the cast as a new series regular. The report further reveals that he will be playing a character named Julian Dorn.

Dorn is described as a fellow CSI working alongisde Barry Allen aka the Flash (Grant Gustin) at the Central City Police Department. However, instead of instantly partnering with Barry he gets suspicious and doesn't buy into Barry's "good guy" persona, believing that Barry is hiding some kind of dark secret.

Felton's character is not from the DC comic books and is possibly a combination of several characters merged into one. It is undetermined if he will later be a villain or a new ally who has been keeping secret his own special powers. It is speculated he will discover of Barry's identity as the Flash or Barry's actions that changed the course of time.

Some fans speculate that Dorn may be the new hero of Central City given that Barry Allen may no longer be the Flash following the events of the season 2 finale. However, only Barry would be aware of the changes and Dorn would get suspicious and eventually force Barry to tell the truth.

The report does confirm that season 3 will adapt the "Flashpoint" story from the comics although several changes will be implemented given that the CW shows do not feature the character Bruce Wayne aka Batman.

"Flashpoint" also saw Barry travel to the past to change history, but in doing so he lost his powers and someone else became the city's hero. This storyline was hinted at in the season 2 finale when the Flash traveled back in time to save his mother from being killed.

"The Flash" season 3 premieres on the CW this Oct. 4.
