The wait for the next half of "The Fosters" season 4 is extended for another week after Freeform announced that the series will return on Jan. 31 instead of Jan. 24.

According to reports, the family drama will occupy the usual time slot of "Pretty Little Liars" during the winter months. But the teen suspense thriller will return for its last 10 episodes sometime in April.

The first half of the season left fans worried about the welfare of Jesus (Noah Centineo) after a punch on the head from Mariana's (Cierra Ramirez) disturbed ex-boyfriend Nick (Louis Hunter) left him unconscious.

Callie's (Maia Mitchell) life may also be in danger after she agreed to ride a car with Troy Johnson, the real person who is responsible for Martha's death.

On the other hand, Brandon (David Lambert) is expected to find himself in a different kind of drama when "The Fosters" return for the second half of season 4. According to reports, Brandon and his current girlfriend, Cortney (Denyse Tontz), will call it quits. This could be a good news for his mothers Stef (Teri Polo) and Lena (Sherri Saum) since they opposed their relationship from the start.

This means that Brandon would choose to return home after moving out to live with Cortney and work for her and her child. Could this drive him back to Callie's arms? However, Callie is already in a relationship. They are also declared legally as siblings, which can further complicate things between them.

Fans are also expecting to see how Brandon will pick up all the pieces after they entire family discovered that he missed his chance to be accepted to The Juilliard School. It was his lifelong dream to enroll in the prestigious music school. This could mean that he must go on a different path to follow his dreams.

Freeform is expected to release more details about "The Fosters" season 4B soon.
