The Game Awards 2014 complete list of nominees announced

The full list of nominees for the upcoming The Game Awards 2014 had been read by producer Geoff Keighly on Thursday, honoring the top game titles and developers for the year.

Keighly announced the roster of nominees and discussed the nomination process for the very first The Game Awards through an informal Twitch announcement. According to the producer, 28 gaming publications from different parts of the world had been involved in the selection process, including those from the United States, the U.K., Japan, Canada, Italy, France, Germany, and Spain, among others.

Keighly, the Canadian video game journalist and TV host, developed the new independent award giving body for video games in order to highlight the accomplishments of publishers and developers in the ever growing industry.

Some of the jurors for The Game Awards 2014 include Lou Kesten from the Associated Press - USA, Tony Mott from Edge - UK, Andy McNamara from Game Informer - USA, Federico Cella from Corriere Della Sera - Italy, Victor Lucas from Electric Playground - Canada, Sophia Tong from Gameradar - USA, Darren Franich from Entertainment Weekly - USA, Chris Grant from Polygon - USA, Katsuhiko Hayashi from Famits - Japan, Chris Kohler from Wired - USA, and Ben Silverman from Yahoo! - USA, among others.

The Game Awards night will be held on Dec. 5, 6 p.m. PT / 9 p.m. ET, at the AXIS Theater in Las Vegas.
