In the next episode of "The Gifted," Agent Jace Turner (Coby Bell) doubles down on the Sentinel Service's offense in catching the Mutant Underground.

The trailer for the upcoming installment titled "BoXed In," was released just recently and showed Turner recounting his past. "I lost my daughter in the July 15th incident. Nobody had to die," he says with regret. A flashback is shown with him and his wife lying on the grass as they watch their daughter play on a merry-go-round. It seems that a catastrophic incident involving mutants happened on that day and took the life of his family. It is likely that because of this unfortunate accident, Turner is now intent on taking down mutants no matter what it takes.

"We are going to hunt them down," Turner tells the agents at the Sentinel Services headquarters. They are shown getting prepared and deployed to track down the mutants. However, the powered fugitives are also getting prepared themselves. John Proudstar a.k.a. Thunderbird (Blair Redford) carries a huge boulder and places it on a barrier to fortify their stronghold. It seems that the Sentinels have located their hideout and are going to attack it sooner rather than later.

In the last episode, Thunderbird, Eclipse, Kate Strucker (Amy Acker), and her kids Lauren (Natalie Alyn Lind) and Andy (Percy Hynes White) were able to save Lorna Dane a.k.a. Polaris (Emma Dumont) and Kate's husband Reed (Stephen Moyer) from the Sentinels. They intercepted a convoy which allowed Reed and Polaris to escape while the Sentinels were preoccupied with the mutants.

Polaris threatened the agents with their own bullets which prompted them to step back. All the mutants escaped safely in a truck which Kate drove.

"The Gifted" season 1 episode 5 will air on Monday, Oct. 30 at 9 p.m. EDT on Fox.
