"The Good Fight" season 1 has just concluded and it ended with Maia (Rose Leslie) getting arrested for her parents' Ponzi scheme. This happened after her father, Henry (Paul Guilfoyle), left town instead of turning himself in. The season also ended with new shocking revelations about the case as well as a bunch of questions left unanswered.

The show has been renewed for its second season and will air on CBS All Access next year. As early as now, though, "The Good Fight" co-creators and showrunners Robert and Michelle King already have a few spoilers to get the fans excited for the next season.

They recently spoke with The Hollywood Reporter over the phone and revealed that the current Trump administration may have an influence over the events in the next season. "The show reacts to what's going on in the culture. If Trump is still our president, my guess is one of the things we're going to be pursuing is changes in the law," Robert answered when asked about the theme for season 2. He added, "What happens when there are disagreements between layers of the law? One of the things we're seeing in the culture right now and the zeitgeist is what happens when the institutions we depend on start to crumble."

Also, Kurt (Gary Cole) and Diane (Christine Baranski) were seen taking the first step to reconciliation when season 1 ended. However, a possible obstacle that they could be facing in season 2 could have something to do with the current administration.

"The second biggest obstacle is Diane hasn't found out whether he voted for Trump or not, and I do think that's a deal-breaker for a lot of liberals. Politics still enters that relationship," Robert said after Michelle joked that the first one is "Veep," a show in which Cole stars. Robert added, "Can you love someone and yet still disrespect their politics? And I do think in the very partisan world we're in, that issue becomes a bigger and bigger thing."

Robert and Michelle also spoke with E! News and revealed that there are going to be more "mentor type of interactions" in season 2, like scenes between Diane and Maia, and Lucca (Cush Jumbo) and Maia. Michelle said that they are definitely going to "continue mining" those relationships as there these hold so many stories to tell.

There has yet to be a release date for "The Good Fight" season 2. Meanwhile, season 1 is still available for streaming on CBS All Access.
