Alicia (Julianna Margulies) may end up skipping one of Peter's (Chris Noth) most important campaigns in the upcoming episode of the CBS series "The Good Wife."

In "Iowa," CarterMatt reports that the time has come for the presidential candidate to prove, once and for all, that he is deserving of the most powerful position in the country. The famed Iowa Caucus has arrived and with it, the race has reached an entirely different plateau. Voters will get to discern what the aspirants are made of. This is the moment Eli (Alan Cumming) and Ruth (Margo Martindale) have been preparing for. Unfortunately for them, a pawn in their stratagem may refuse to play the game at the last minute.

Ever since Peter announced his candidacy, Alicia has quietly acquiesced with the plan to help him be installed in office. She even agreed to let him into their house to show the public that he has a loving family who supports him. Even her new love interest, Jason (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), was sent away by Ruth to avoid negative press from touching Peter. But with Eli's confession about Will (Josh Charles), it just may be the final nail in the coffin for Alicia.

During the midseason finale, Eli confessed to Alicia that Will left her a voicemail saying that he loved her and would sacrifice everything just to be with her. Her phone was then being safeguarded by Eli, as she was on stage with Peter in one of his promotions. When Eli saw the message, he deemed it wise to erase it to prevent future problems in Peter's candidacy. Alicia was devastated to hear the truth from someone she considered her friend. As she comes to terms with the betrayal, it is expected that she will need some time off to grieve.

It is certainly possible she will beg off from attending the caucus to avoid pretending to be a loyal wife. Will Alicia end up ruining Peter's run?
