As if adjusting to their new job for Lockhart, Agos, and Lee is not enough, Alicia (Julianna Margulies) and Lucca (Cush Jumbo) will be given a tricky case to work with in the upcoming episode of the CBS series "The Good Wife."

In "Monday," TV Guide reports that Alicia and Lucca will get off on the wrong foot by securing a case that the members of their firm feel divided about. They are slated to work on a new computer tablet that has been kept a secret before its untimely discovery. It is unclear why Cary's (Matt Czuchry) colleagues are split into two sides on this one. Perhaps some think Lockhart, Agos, and Lee should not represent the client, as the case can potentially destroy the firm's reputation if not handled properly. This puts the pressure on Alicia and Lucca's shoulders. Will they do well?

Alicia and Lucca got recruited to the law firm when Cary offered them jobs. He learned that Alicia has been steadily losing clients. Alicia was using her home as her office because she could not afford to rent a building. Her new firm was not earning enough money to pay for the bills. When Cary heard of Alicia's predicament, he went ahead and told her and Lucca that they are welcome to join Lockhart, Agos, and Lee. While Alicia initially laughed aloud at the idea, it looks like she will see the wisdom in Cary's words. The upcoming episode will see her waving the white flag and accepting the offer, albeit with doubts.

Meanwhile, fans of the CBS series are worried that it will not be renewed for season 8. Rumors of cancellation started when Glenn Geller, the new CBS Entertainment president, announced during the 2016 Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour in January that current showrunners Robert and Michelle King would be leaving the show. The Kings will now be focusing on a new series they are writing for CBS.

"The Kings did say they would not be returning after this year... I think it's a combination of many things, one of them being they want to also work on new things... I think that they've really enjoyed working on the show, clearly, for seven years and I think they are ready to move on," Geller shared with the press.

He assured fans, however, that the series has "a deep bench" and could still go on for season 8. He said that Craig Turk would be succeeding the Kings as showrunner.

"The Good Wife" season 11 airs Sundays at 9 p.m. EST on CBS.
