The latest episode of CBS' "The Good Wife" aired on Oct. 25 and it showed yet another wonderful story that captivated the attention of viewers.

In episode 4, titled "Taxed," the story centered on a case of a physician-assisted suicide. Louis Canning (Michael J. Fox) was the lawyer in defense of the doctors who gave a brain cancer patient, named Alexa (Celeste Arias), the drugs intended for suicide.

The patient had to move to Oregon where physician-assisted suicide was legal. Alexa's parents then sued the doctors for not giving proper information to Alexa that there was a study on a cancer drug that could have prolonged her life.

The case got a bit complicated when Peter Gallagher stepped in playing as Irving Carver, who asked Diane (Christine Baranski) to take over the case from the prosecution perspective. This complicated things because Diane herself supports physician-assisted suicide.

Over to the bond court scene, Alicia Florrick (Julianna Margulies) got to know about the competition and games that lawyers play at the court, but she didn't care about them as she was focused on serving justice.

Alicia overheard a woman being ordered to plead guilty even if she's genuinely innocent, so she then stepped in to interfere.

Cary (Matt Czuchry) was also seen showing up at Alicia's apartment and asked her to change Peter's (Chris Noth) mind about the physician-assisted suicide bill. Cary went on to tell Alicia that if she can influence Peter to reject the bill, she might get a chance back at the firm.

Meanwhile, drama is bound to heat up in the upcoming episode of "The Good Wife," which will air on Nov. 1. CBS just released the trailer for season 7's fifth episode titled, "Payback."

In it, Alicia is seen telling Eli (Alan Cumming) that she no longer trusts him. Eli and Alicia have been longtime friends, but that could change by episode 5.

"Payback" airs Sundays at 9 p.m. EST on CBS.
