Fans of "The Good Wife" were treated to a surprise Christmas gift in the form of a sneak peek video of what the next episode will bring to the table. Despite only being 20 seconds long, the clip manages to capture viewers' attention and curiosity.

The midseason finale of season 7 was certainly a shocker. In the previous episode, Eli (Alan Cumming) finally confessed a secret he's kept from Alicia (Julianna Margulies) since season 1. He told her about the voicemail he had deleted all those years ago--a voicemail that might have drastically changed Alicia's life.

Will Gardner (Josh Charles) had left the voicemail, which detailed his love for Alicia and everything he'd give up to be with her. Eli's motive for erasing the voicemail, of course, had to do with protecting Peter's (Chris Noth) career.

It was such a well-kept secret and the writers deemed it the right moment to finally reveal it. They've been making quite a build up over the past few seasons, which is one of the reasons why "The Good Wife" has such a loyal fan following.

Judging by the teaser video, "The Good Wife" will pick up right from where the previous episode left off. After confessing his secret to Alicia, Eli is seen vividly terrified of her reaction. He apologizes, but one "I'm sorry" isn't going to cut it.

Alicia gets up, obviously infuriated by the revelation, and even kicks her seat behind her. Eli also gets up and darts backwards after Alicia shoves the table in between them. Things are about to get physical.

Alicia takes a stack of plates from the cabinet and carefully places them on the table before tossing one in Eli's direction. She continues to break the plates, even throwing them on the floor. After that, she slams the door in the camera's face, with the assumption that she has kicked Eli out of her house.

Seeing Alicia throw a temper tantrum is reason enough to tune in to the next episode. And fans won't have to wait much longer because "The Good Wife" season 7 resumes on Jan. 10 on CBS.
