Animated films are a great way to bond with the family, which is why it comes as no surprise that despite it being over a decade already, "The Incredibles" continues to be a topic for those who enjoy a good movie. After news of its planned release by 2018, fans started taking a gander at what the next film is going to be about

Game N' Guide compiled some of the most convincing storylines that could possibly be in the film. One Tumblr user named Sophicals thought that 15 years was the magic word. She recreated the scene when Syndrome told Mr. Incredible, "Too late, 15 years too late," considering the fact the original movie was aired 2004, and the sequel was tentatively slated for 2019.

Another possible angle is an internal conflict within the family concerning Jack-Jack, who has a lot of potential when it comes to his unexplained superpowers. His confusion could make him an accidental villain in the film, and to make it even crazier, he could even team up with the kid who shouts "totally wicked!" in the original film.

Amidst all speculations, director Brad Bird's last interview with Cinema Blend can drop more clues on what the plot could possibly be. He explained that whatever happens, the center of the story will always be on family, not much on the abilities the characters possess.

"For me, the interesting thing was never the superhero part of it. It was more the family dynamic, and how do superhero things play into that. So the movie is a step further in that direction – but I do have a story idea that I think is very intriguing, and not like anything else. So my goal would to still be surprising, which is not easy to do, and maybe I'll succeed, and maybe I won't! That's certainly what I'm going to try," Bird said during the interview.

As of now, The Hollywood Reporter confirms that Holly Hunter will be reprising her role as Elastigirl in the animation sequel. Amidst all the rumors, there is news pointing to Sarah Vowell playing Violet Parr and Raymond Ochoa voicing Dash Parr, according to IMDb.

"The Incredibles 2" is expected to premiere on June 15, 2018.
