Pixar and Disney have already announced that "The Incredibles 2" will arrive in June 21, 2019. The Parr family debuted back in 2004 and it will have taken 15 long years before fans finally see the sequel.

Even the voice behind Frozone, Samuel L. Jackson, acknowledged some time ago that he had asked Pixar about its plans for the sequel. Now that everything is official, a fan has a theory about the reason behind the delay.

The theory was presented by a Tumblr user named Sophicals. She picked the scene in the 2004 movie where Buddy, a.k.a Syndrome, the rejected fan, tells Mr. Incredible, "It's 15 years too late."

Buddy was the little boy that the superhero pushed away 15 years earlier, which broke the kid's heart.  That particular scene was Buddy's revenge.  Now, the two movies have the same number of years in between, which is somehow connected to the specific scene in the first movie. It may be just a coincidence or possibly Pixar has a plan of another villain doing the same in the sequel, E! stated.

Movies.com did an exclusive interview back in 2011 with Brad Bird, the writer and director of the first movie. According to him, he was very interested to create its sequel, but he needed the perfect time to do it and would make the movie when he is ready and not simply because he needs to.

He added that one will be coming if it will be as good as the first one, or even better, and he not settle for anything less.

He said, "I want to do it because I have something that will be as good or better than the original. Toy Story 2 was, to me, a perfect sequel, because it absolutely respected the first film but found new places to go without selling out its characters. So if I could come up with an idea that is to Incredible that Toy Story 2 is to Toy Story, I would do it in a second."

With regards to the plot, the word on the street is that Jack-Jack will be in his teens and will be rebelling against his family, specifically his older brother, Dash.

It is also speculated that Jackson will be back to do Frozone.

"The Incredibles 2" will hit the big screen on June 21, 2019.
