In the next episode of "The Last Man on Earth," Todd (Mel Rodriguez) and Phil Tandy (Will Forte) introduce the unknowing survivors to the dangerous Karl (Fred Armisen).

The trailer for the upcoming installment, which is titled "Paint Misbehavin'," was just released recently, and it shows Todd and Tandy introducing Karl to the gang which include Carol Pilbasian (Kristen Schaal), Gail Klosterman (Mary Steenburgen), and Erica (Cleopatra Coleman).

They all seem to be suspicious of Karl, but the cannibalistic serial killer just puts out a friendly front to ease the tension. "Don't be shy, Karl does not bite. Do you Karl?" Tandy asks him. The secretive individual gives an expressionless look but then breaks out into a smile and says, "No." The gang attempts to give him a chance and welcomes him to their group.

Later in the day, Karl sees Klosterman sitting in the lounge and tells her about his love for painting and that he likes to create portraits for people. He offers to paint her and to give the portrait as a gift. "Let's do it. Clothes on or off?" she asks him. Karl is taken by surprise but says, "I'll probably keep mine on." Little does she know that when Karl finishes a painting of a person, he kills and eats that individual right after that.

In the last episode, Karl was stuck in a Mexican prison since the viral outbreak happened. He was jailed for a number of horrific murders and his cannibalistic tendencies. He was the only survivor in the facility but could not get out of it. Todd and Tandy stumbled upon the prison and freed Karl eventually, not knowing his criminal past.

"The Last Man on Earth" season 4 episode 10 will hit the airwaves on Sunday, Jan. 14, at 9:30 p.m. EST on FOX.
