With a lot of fans demanding for "The Last of Us" sequel, it seems that Naughty Dog is finally getting to it after the resounding success of "Uncharted 4". The developer even included an Easter egg teaser inside the "Uncharted 4" gameplay, which features a poster of a pregnant girl with the title, "The Last of Us: American Daughters".

A lot of speculations actually point out that the pregnant woman in the poster was Ellie, one of the main protagonists in the first game. However, some fans also think that the second installment of this game will be more of a prequel. After all, the woman was wearing a gas mask, and her face is obscured, making a definite identification impossible.

Online speculations say that if the woman is Ellie, then most likely the game's setting will be sometime around the future, where the virus that ravaged humanity has taken a turn for the worse. However, they also think that the child is immune to it like Ellie was in the first game, which could certainly give a twist to the game and detach it a bit from its predecessor's original storyline.

In the same poster, the "Dark Horse Comics" logo appears at the bottom, as shown in a YouTube video. It has been widely known for its collaboration with Naughty Dog, with the former publishing the latter's artwork. With this, it could also be possible that the whole poster is just a homage to the comics and nothing more.

In any case, the finer details of the game are still unrevealed, but with Naughty Dog's reputation of releasing Easter eggs as teasers for their newest titles, a lot of this game's followers are certain that the game is already in development. However, the final release date of the game is yet to be revealed, and a lot of fans are still hopeful for its upcoming release within the next two years.
