Naughty Dog has provided little information these past few months regarding "The Last of Us Part 2," the much-awaited sequel to 2013 survival horror video game, "The Last of Us." However, major details are expected this December as the game studio will be a part of the PlayStation Experience 2017 lineup. Those who will attend the gaming event are in for a treat as the creators and voice actors playing a huge part in the sequel will be present.

As reported by GameSpot, Sony Interactive Entertainment has revealed that "The Last of Us Part 2" will have its own panel at the PlayStation Experience 2017 this weekend. Naughty Dog is expected to discuss the upcoming game title, not including those details that were already revealed at the Paris Games Week last November.

Sony also announced that the PlayStation Experience 2017 will be hosting panels for other anticipated game titles for next year. Aside from "The Last of Us Part 2," the other panels will feature "Ghosts of Tsushima" and Media Molecule's "Dream." According to Gaming Bolt, a special panel will also be dedicated for the future of PlayStation VR, where Sony is expected to tease the improvements coming to the mixed reality headset.

It can be recalled that last year's PlayStation Experience also hosted "The Last of Us Part 2," although information was limited as the game was still in its early stages of development. Nevertheless, Sony revealed back then that HBO's "Westworld" writer, Halley Gross, would pen the sequel's storyline along with game director Neil Druckmann.

In the upcoming PSX event, the lead actors of "The Last of Us 2" are expected to appear, including Ashely Johnson as Ellie, Troy Baker as Joel, Laura Bailey as Anna, and "Westworld" actress Shannon Woodward, whose role has yet to be revealed. Druckmann is also expected to speak during the panel discussion, where he is rumoured to talk about the controversial bloody trailer that was released at the Paris Games Week.

The PlayStation Experience 2017 panel for "The Last of Us 2" will open on Saturday, Dec. 9, at 9:30 p.m. EST.
