Fans of the hit post-apocalyptic game "The Last of Us" are in for a treat as Naughty Dog has released an update for its remastered version, giving the game HDR visuals. The reason behind it is that the the game company is preparing to release the game for the PlayStation 4 Pro.

According to Game Rant, it is safe to assume that after Naughty Dog released an upgraded version of the game, fans who were able to get their hands on it were impressed by the graphical enhancements put into "The Last of Us."

Now, with the PlayStation 4 Pro to be released soon, the developers gave an update which enables the game to have some HDR visual capabilities and full console support for the PS4 Pro.

For those who have "The Last of Us" remastered version, they will be able to download Patch 1.07 on their PS4 consoles. Aside from HDR-capable televisions being able to immediately switch the game to the HDR display feature — which certainly gives "The Last of Us" a boost in terms of graphical performance — the update also gives improvements to the game's audio capabilities.

With the HDR switched on, the environments in "The Last of Us" as well as the textures become much richer, and even the shadows around the clouds seem to be more prominent and close to life-like. Furthermore, the depth and the range of colors become much more noticeable once HDR is applied to the title, giving the entire game a more realistic feel compared to the original version.

Meanwhile, according to Polygon, Naughty Dog showcased "The Last of Us" remastered and "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" on the PS4 Pro using HDR graphics during the console's first reveal way back in September. Sadly, the latter is not yet updated with the HDR support capabilities for the PS4, but it will only be a matter of time once it receives the appropriate updates.
