After the death of U.S. President Jeff Michener (Mark Moses), Kara Green (Marissa Neitling) will try to get more information in the White House in the upcoming episode of "The Last Ship" season 3.

The president opted to commit suicide in the previous episode, but it seems like Kara was the only one who was deeply affected by Michener's death. This came as a surprise to Kara, especially after chief of staff Allison Shaw (Elisabeth Röhm) seemed indifferent to the news that the president took his own life. Kara did not expect to see this reaction from Allison since the U.S. president's chief of staff admitted to her that they had a personal relationship.

According to the synopsis for the upcoming episode, titled "Eutopia," Kara will do "some digging in the White House."

Will the lieutenant find out something interesting that could be tied to the president's death and prevent the former Vice President-turned-new POTUS Howard Oliver (John Cothran) to overturn all of Michener's policies in the upcoming episode?

Meanwhile, the synopsis for the upcoming episode mentions that Tom Chandler (Eric Dane) will also stumble upon a lead that will provide the much-needed answers to all his concerns.

In the previous episode, Tom discovered that the virus found on the legendary pirate captain Takehaya (Hiroyuki Sanada) and in his wife's blood is different from the virus recorded in Dr. Scott's (Rhona Mitra) files. He believes that a new mutation might have spread, which means that a new kind of disease could be rapidly spread due to the new virus. But Doc Rios (Maximiliano Hernandez) assured him that those who already received the cure will no longer be affected by the mutation.

Will Tom's prediction turn out to be true and a new threat is looming among mankind in the upcoming episode of "The Last Ship" season 3? The episode airs on Aug. 14 on TNT.
