If the latest reports are to be believed, it looks like "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" is not coming along with the Nintendo Switch this March.

Reliable tech insider Emily Rogers has been told by her sources that the game will not be released early next year due to issues on localization.

The localization for "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" has, back in September this year, become "more work than anyone had anticipated."

It involves every aspect, from the text, to the non-playable characters, to the quests. With the game expected to be the biggest "The Legend of Zelda" title to date, this will take a lot of time.

Rogers said that by October, the localization became an even bigger issue and that Nintendo's grand vision for "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" may have betrayed the company.

Rogers stated that one source even called the project "a very ambitious game, maybe even too much." The issues will not be rectified in one fell swoop and the localization will reportedly be done by December, which is much later than anticipated.

"After localization is completed, this game will require between (at least) four-to-six months of testing. As I mentioned earlier, this is one of Nintendo's largest and most ambitious games ever," the tipster wrote.

"The amount of testing required for a huge open-world game like this is enormous. Nintendo's intention is to have the game as bug free as possible," she went on to say.

That being said, "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" could be delayed to summer 2017, depending on how the testing goes. This means that it could be released June next year at the earliest.

This will be the second delay for "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild," which was supposed to be released on the Wii U last year, only to be postponed for the Nintendo Switch.

Forbes believes that the game not being a launch title for the upcoming console might cost the Switch a much higher sales performance as it will be one of the main attractions for it.

The site believes that the console should be delayed until "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" is ready for its debut, although there is no official word on Nintendo's plans for the Switch and the game at the moment, so fans will just have to wait.
