Nintendo took to social media to give fans a look at "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild." A couple of clips made their way online to see the sort of gameplay the highly anticipated game employs.

One of the clips showed the type of new weapons Link can use in the game during combat apart from his sword and shield. A giant axe will be at his disposal as well as a magic wand.

The real surprise was a skeletal arm, which he wields around, hitting bad guys in the clip for "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild."

Another clip shows the kinds of runes that Link can use in "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild." There's a magnet-type rune aptly called Magnesis that makes treasure-hunting easy, allowing Link to pull treasure chest towards him.

There's another called Cryonis that helps Link create plots of ice on lakes so he can cross them. The warrior can also use a Round Bomb that appears to regenerate so he can use it more than once.

The video also revealed the usefulness of the Statis Rune in "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild," which gives Link the power to lock and manipulate objects.

Additionally, Link can also swap various arrow types in "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild." Some of which include fire, ice and bomb. The best part is that moving across them is so quick and efficient so Link has greater offense.

BGR says that the gameplay shown in the game proves that Nintendo is heavily inspired with previous "The Legend of Zelda" installments while still keen on separating the new game from the rest.

"The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" will be released next year. It will be one of the biggest games to come in the Wii U and one of the titles to come out for the Nintendo NX.
