If rumors are true, the upcoming "Legend of Zelda" game Wii U Edition will feature an Open World gameplay.

As reported by Movie Pilot, the game developers have been planning to start featuring the game in an open world environment.

"It's something we've wanted to do for a long time in The Legend of Zelda series and so development began with this as our focus. The earlier releases of The Legend of Zelda games players got to explore a wide area scrolling up, down, left and right. However, after the game transitioned to 3D and the hardware began to evolve, it became harder to create that feel of being in a vast world," series creator Eiji Aonuma excitedly shared during the interview.

Aonuma also told NintendoLife that the upcoming Zelda collaboration game in Wii U will have a lot of awesome cutscenes that players will definitely enjoy. The game, titled "Hyrule Warriors," will be a crossover between "The Legend of Zelda" and "Dynasty Warriors."

According to an article by Attack of the Fanboy, Aonuma had been inspired with the cutscenes featured on "Hyrule Warriors," and would like to bring all the good stuff on the new Zelda on Wii U game that he is developing at the moment.

The upcoming Zelda game is set to have a 2015 release date, but there are no other information provided about it.

The all new "The Legend of Zelda" game is an action-adventure video game created by Nintendo Entertainment Analysis and Development intended exclusively for the Wii U gaming console, manufactured also by Nintendo. Once released next year, it will serve as the eighteenth installment in the popular "The Legend of Zelda" series.

Aonuma said that the upcoming Zelda game will allow the players to have more freedom in moving around and deciding which directions they want to pursue in the game.
