Although most fans are still in anticipation of the next "The Legend of Zelda" game for the Wii U, some players are excited for the impending arrival of another title in the long-running and vast "Zelda" franchise on the Nintendo 3DS.

Less than a month before "The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes" launches for the handheld, Nintendo has bared more details about the upcoming 3DS title.

Express UK confirmed that fans who want to share the experience in the multiplayer mode will be able to do so via Download Play, as the title will be supporting the feature on the Nintendo 3DS. This means that users who want to try out the game first can experience it without owning the title. They just needs to purchase the game to explore additional game features.

Meanwhile, according to industry observer GameSpot, Nintendo has confirmed that players will have plenty of experience to choose from in "Tri Force Heroes," aside from completing the story. Players can do the missions while collecting all 36 outfits with unique abilities like the Zora costume to help Link swim faster in water, or the Goron Garb that lets the heroes swim in lava. In addition, players can connect to the Miiverse and collect special stamps, or post their gameplay and images via the Photo Bro in-game shop.

Story-wise, "The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes" will have 32 stages all in all, which players can explore on their own via the story campaign, along with two Doppels or AI-controlled companions. The title can also be played by up to three persons via online co-op, and Nintendo says that anyone can team up and play simultaneously as "Tri Force Heroes" will not require all three players to be on the same 3DS friends list.

"The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes" launches for the Nintendo 3DS on Oct. 23.
