A new leaked video has been spotted online showing what could be the trailer for the upcoming "Legend of Zelda" release for the Nintendo Wii U.

According to Gamer Professionals, "trusted sources" have confirmed that the video is a promotion that will be shown in a presentation in one of Nintendo's intended big events for 2016, officially launching the Wii U version of "The Legend of Zelda," titled "Twilight Princess." It is unknown what that event will be, but the said launch event is speculated to be one hosted by the company itself.

The video is meant to impact parents by focusing on their relationships with their children, showing at the end credits the phrase "a new generation begins." This is in line with Nintendo president Satoru Iwata's vision of introducing IPS to new untapped markets.

Gamer Professionals adds that the video was posted online by a user with the name John Richard, and was initially password protected with the title "First Draft." If the video is really from Nintendo, then it is highly possible that it could be a promotion of "The Legend of Zelda Wii U."

If not, then there are also theories pointing to the game as being one for the upcoming Nintendo NX.

Nintendo has struggled to keep up with competitors Sony and Microsoft, as Wii U has failed to match with the Sony PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Xbox One in units shipped. According to Nintendo's revenue information site, the gaming console has only seen a total of 10.3 million units shipped out, which is much lower compared to the 54 million units that the Nintendo 3DS released.

"The Legend of Zelda" is one of the most highly acclaimed game classics today, launched back in Feb. 1986. Gamespot gives the saga a score of 7.1 out of 10. The last Zelda game released was "Tri Force Heroes," which was developed for the Nintendo 3DS.
