"The Librarians" will find themselves in the middle of a town feud in the fantasy drama's season 4 episode 9.

The small team of librarians -- Jake Stone (Christian Kane), Ezekiel Jones (John Harlan Kim), and Eve Baird (Rebecca Romijn) -- are called to a mysterious town after ghosts started appearing in a Civil War re-enactment in the episode titled "And a Town Called Feud."

"Could I ask you a few questions about a ghost?" Eve asks in the episode's teaser. Her town survey helps them find the true cause of the ghost plague -- a brotherhood feud that happened 100 years ago.

The librarians' search for answers brings them to the town's office of historical records. Here they find out the town's origins, which is based on the legend of the Loveday brothers and their mutual hate for one another. The town even changed its name to Feud in honor of them.

The locket is the symbol of their story, and is also where all the ghosts have been locked up until they were mysteriously unleashed. It was also where the energies of the Loveday brothers were kept, as they were unable to move on to the next life because of their feud.

"This artifact is fueled by the hate and anger of these two brothers who never want to be reunited," Eve says in the episode's sneak peek. They know the solution is to reunite the two lockets, but they also know what will happen if they do that.

"I'll tell you what, it's bad stuff," Jack quips.

As if to support his theory, the doors suddenly start locking themselves, and the curtains follow suit. Ezekiel finds himself in the other side of a locked room, as Jack and Eve are bathed in darkness, until two TV screens light up.

The monitors show Jack and Ezekiel holding a gun on each other's heads. The sneak peek ends with the sound of a gun going off.
