Syfy is sticking with "The Magicians."

The fantasy drama has been renewed for a fourth installment by Syfy, multiple reports note. News of the renewal was announced by the premium cabler Wednesday, along with the confirmation that it will have 13 episodes and will premiere next year.

Based on Lev Grossman's bestselling trilogy, "The Magicians" follows aspiring magician Quentin Coldwater (Jason Ralph) and his friends. They all attend Brakebills, a magical academy hidden somewhere in upstate New York. While trying to learn different tricks, they find out that the fantasy world of a famous children's book series, Fillory, is actually real.

The group later realizes that life as magicians is not what they initially expected. The second season saw Quentin and his pals become the rulers of Fillory.

Season 3 is currently airing on Syfy and according to E! News, the series will have a musical episode next week. Episode 9 will take on a musical route on Wednesday, March 7, with each of the series regulars showing off their singing chops. Four songs will be included in the special, including covers of David Bowie and Queen's "Under Pressure." They will also be performing "All I Need is the Girl" from the musical "Gypsy."

"I literally started crying from excitement and joy because I'm a musical theater girl," Jade Tailor, whose character Kady will sing "All I Need is the Girl," said.

"There was a running joke on set that if I didn't get a musical number, I would start killing everyone," the actress added with a laugh. "And my response was true. Everyone's alive, that tells you something. Everyone gets to sing, which is exciting. I get a really fun part."

"The Magicians" season 3 airs every Wednesday night at 9 p.m. EST on Syfy, while a definitive release date for season 4 has yet to be announced by the network.
