"The Man in the High Castle" season 2 has been announced to premiere this coming December. A synopsis, courtesy of Screen Rant, reveals that the disparate storylines of season 1 will begin to fold over each other as characters and stories intersect.

According to the synopsis, Julian Crane (Alexa Davalos) will have to face the consequences of her actions during the end of season 1 where she betrayed the Resistance and allowed Joe Blake (Luke Kleintank) to escape, carrying the films intented for the titular man in the high castle.

Julian's boyfriend, Frank Frink (Rupert Evans) will also become more radicalized and will get even deeper into the Resistance after watching the films showcasing his own execution. It is hinted that his story will get riskier and more dangerous as the season carries on.

Julian is also going to spend much more screen time with Chief Inspector Kido Joel de la Fuente) who is taking more interest in Julian, the Man in the High Castle and the film reels. It is suspected that through his investigations the titular Man in the High Castle will finally be introduced to the audience.

It is also revealed that Tagomi (Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa) will be coming back to the alternate world after spending time in this world, where the Allied Forces had defeated Germany and Japan. How and when he will travel back and if he will be going back and forth is undetermined at the time being.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Isa Hackett confirmed that Tagomi's trip to this world was not a dream and that he really did go from one alternate reality to the other. This phenomenon is expected to be explained in some manner when season 2 premieres.
