NBC has plans of reviving the hit comedy "The Office," and almost everybody seems to be on board the idea. Jenna Fischer, who portrayed Pam in the series, is open to reprising her role, too; she just has not been asked yet.

Speaking at the Television Critics Association's (TCA) winter press tour to support ABC's midseason comedy "Splitting Up Together," Fischer told reporters she was actually unaware of the revival until recently. When asked if she is all-in to return to "The Office," she said: "I think that's for networks to figure out if I were to be asked. I haven't been approached about it and don't know anything about it."

However, she did say she loves her character and would be "honored" to portray her again. As recalled, the actress' beloved Pam Beesly Halpert was first introduced as Dunder Mifflin's receptionist who dreamed of becoming an artist and later becomes an art school alum, mom, and Dunder Mifflin's salesperson alongside her husband, Jim Halpert (John Krasinski).

"I loved playing that character and as long as Greg Daniels is the person in charge and the visionary behind it, then I would absolutely be up for it," Fischer said. "We just have to get Mindy [Kaling], B.J. Novak, Gene Stupnitsky and Lee Eisenberg, Mike Schur to write some episodes. That show was so great because of the talent involved behind the scenes, not just on the screen."

"The Office" came to a close in May 2013 after nine seasons on NBC. In December, reports started surfacing that the network was considering reviving the series. The revival would reportedly consist of new and familiar faces but not involve Steve Carell, who starred in the show as boss Michael Scott until season seven.

No one has been confirmed for the revival yet, but some of its cast members have already voiced interest in returning. Apart from Fischer, co-stars Angela Kinsey and Creed Bratton want in as well.

Assuming the revival rumor is true, the aforementioned could return to the Scranton Dunder Mifflin paper company branch in the 2018-2019 TV season.
