'The Originals' season 2 finale spoilers: Mikaelson family reunion cut short by their mother's evil plans
The mid-season finale of "The Originals" is filled with extremely emotional and action-packed scenes, actor Charles Michael Davis claimed.
The actor, who portrays the role of Marcel Gerard in the hit Vampire Diaries spin-off from The CW, teased that Monday night's episode is going to be epic.
"It introduces a lot of new elements, which will forever change the trajectory of where our show is going. So what happened with the [Season 1] finale, where we saw some of the family members like Mikael come back and it really changed things, there'll be some elements that will come in and change their world," Davis told Access Hollywood.
The executive producers of the show also teased that the mid-season finale, which was given the title "The Map of Moments," will feature a brief but very eventful reunion of the Mikaelson family, until matriarch Esther's (Sonja Sohn) plans breaks them apart.
According to spoilers, brothers Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Elijah (Daniel Gillies) as well as their long-lost sister Rebekah (Claire Holt) will be reunited with baby Hope in tow. Yet drama unfolds during the touching holiday reunion between the Mikaelson siblings after their own mother messes up Elijah's thoughts and, using Cami (Leah Pipes), continuously lays down her devious plans for Rebekah's future.
Meanwhile, Cami will eventually find out that her life is in danger because of Esther, that is why she will try hard to get the answers about the Mikaelson matriarch's plans from Vincent (Yusuf Gatewood), but it will be very difficult since he will stay loyal to his convictions.
But the episode will not only concentrate on the Mikaelson threats and drama, as Klaus and Hayley's (Phoebe Tonkin) reunion with their daughter Hope rekindles their complicated romance. Does this mean that baby Hope's real parents would find their way back to each other?
Finally, Klaus and Rebekah will come up with a plan to finally end their mother's ruthless acts before things get more dangerous.
"The Originals" mid-season finale episode airs on Monday, Dec. 8, on The CW.
