A lot of fans are excited by the fact that the series "The Originals" will have its fourth season aired next year. As such, the rumors are rife with a lot of fan theories, but the most prominent one is that it is possible that a crossover with its parent show — "The Vampire Diaries" — will happen in the upcoming season.

According to Game N Guide, Alaric Saltzman (who is played by Matt Davis) will make an appearance in "The Originals" season 4, and Alaric will allagedly show up by the eighth episode of the show. After all, earlier rumors already pointed out that Alaric will be on the search for Elijah (played by Daniel Gillies) due to the fact that he will need to deliver a priceless artifact.

As fans can attest, Alaric is the fourth character who met Klaus Mikaelson (played by Joseph Morgan) in a crossover. The other three characters to make a crossover with "The Originals" include Tyler (played by Michael Trevino), Matt (played by Zach Roerig), and Stefan (played by Paul Wesley).

However, it is hardly a surprise for fans to learn about the crossover and the reason is simple: Caroline (played by Candice King) was already rumored to join the new season so she can help Klaus, who is still healing from the effects of the powerful Tunde Blade.

Meanwhile, Ecumenical News reports that Hayley (played by Phoebe Tonkin) and Hope (Summer Fontana) will be on a journey to save the fallen Mikaelsons. Hope is one of them and regardless of her choices, she will always have a link to the family.

Also, Klaus's blood runs in her veins, so it will still be an interesting sight to see how Hope will be able to use her hybrid powers to help her father snap out of his pain-induced coma.

"The Originals" season 4 premieres on Friday, March 17, 2017 at 8 p.m. EST, a week after "The Vampire Diaries" airs its series finale.
