The Hollow's new servant is out for blood in the upcoming episode of "The Originals" season 4.

Titled "High Water and a Devil's Daughter," this week's episode will mark the directorial debut of cast member Charles Michael Davis. According to the official synopsis, Freya (Riley Voelkel) comes up with a protection spell upon discovering that The Hollow's latest servant is causing trouble in town. This forces Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin), Klaus (Joseph Morgan), and Hope (guest star Summer Fontana) to stay at home until it is safe to come out again.

Elsewhere, Vincent (Yusuf Gatewood) hesitates to perform a ritual to stop The Hollow from hurting them. Elijah (Daniel Gillies) decides to take matters into his own hands and do the dangerous act on his own. Desperate to bring back the natural order of things, Freya enacts a high-risk plan than leads her to square off against their latest enemy. A shocking twist later leaves her fighting for her life.

The CW recently released a new sneak peek for the episode and it hints that more trouble await the Mikaelsons. The teaser shows Elijah taking charge again, as Freya gets involved in a major confrontation. At some point in the clip, The Hollow proves that it is not playing games with the vampire family. Fans can expect to see it play a big role when the episode airs this coming Friday.

In other related news, Danielle Campbell is returning to the supernatural drama for a visit. The actress will reprise her role as Davina in the May 12 episode titled "Voodoo in My Blood." Last season, the ancestors forced Kol (Nathaniel Buzolic) to exact revenge on Davina for her magical actions. Davina then released the ancestral world from the physical world and got herself trapped there. Hayley believes Davina has already found peace wherever she is, but fans have yet to see if that is really true.

The fourth season of "The Originals" airs every Friday at 8 p.m. EDT on The CW.
