It will be nearly the middle of July before fans get to see The Originals season 5 episode 10.  They will surely be sad that season 5 is nearly coming to an end but there are still a few episodes left to air and some loose ends that need tying up.

The show is currently on a break with The Originals season 5 episode 10 not airing until July 11.  But the CW has dropped a few spoilers for the hit Vampire Diaries spin-off that we can chew over until that time.

Episode 10 is actually being directed by Daniel Gillies, who plays Elijah in the show and the synopsis  for the episode, called There in the Disappearing Light, teases that a person from his past will come back to ask him for help.

The synopsis also teases that Klaus, played by Joseph Morgan, will try and help Hope (Danielle Rose) come to terms with her pain 'in an unconventional way.'

The pain is referring to her feelings over Hayley's death but as for the unconventional way in which he helps her, we can only guess for now what that will be and whether it will be enough to save her.

The synopsis concludes: 'Elsewhere, Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) takes on the nightwalkers, while Vincent (Yusuf Gatewood) deals with the fallout of a fateful decision.'

A sneak peak was offered in a new promo which shows a rage-filled Hope struggling to cope with both her feelings and her growing powers, which she uses to violently hurl Klaus across a room.

In the voiceover, Klaus says: 'She's faltering. Doesn't she need us?'

Elijah then issues a grave warning to Klaus saying: 'That rage, leading her down a path that will erase her humanity, the consequences will be devastating for everyone. Everyone.'

After episode 10, there will only be three episodes remaining of the show before we have to say farewell to Klaus and Elijah and the rest of the cast.

It's likely to be bittersweet and tearjerking, especially as there is a good chance another character will die.

Episode 10 is written by Eva McKenna and Jeffrey Lieber and will air on The CW on July 11 and the season finale is set to air in early August, according to CarterMatt
